The Salt Lake Chamber and United Way of Salt Lake as we recognize the incredible contributions immigrants make every day in Utah at the American Dream Awards Luncheon.

This new award program helps remind us about the positive impact of immigrants and how they have helped shape Utah’s history since the Mormon Pioneers entered the Salt Lake Valley in 1847 as refugees fleeing religious persecution. That shared cultural memory formed our values and beliefs today.

American Dream Award Feature: Dr. Abe Bakhsheshy, PhD, Professor and Director, Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative at the University of Utah Eccles School of Business

Dr. Abe Bakhsheshy is a David Eccles School of Business Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative director and professor, and professor/lecturer of organizational behavior. Prior to joining the David Eccles School of Business, Dr. Bakhsheshy served the University of Utah Hospitals and Community Clinics as the Director of Quality Resources, Marketing, Employee Recognition, Public Relations and Customer Services.

Dr. Bakhsheshy has been the recipient of the University of Utah’s Presidential Distinguished Leader Award; the Marvin Ashton Excellence in Teaching Award; the Brady Superior Teaching Award; the Executive MBA Superior Teaching Award; the Bill Daniels Ethics Distinguished Teaching Award; the Professional MBA Distinguished Teaching Award; the University of Utah Distinguished Teaching Award; NASBA Center for Public Trust Making a Difference Award; and the Brady Faculty Superior Teaching Award.
