Friendly people with unique accents, music to stamp your feet to, stunning green rolling hills, and white waves that crash upon iconic towering cliffs.

That’s right. Utah business leaders visited the enchanting Emerald Isle for the 2012 Chamber International trip. The beauty of Ireland was on full display as business leaders visited some of Ireland’s most spectacular attractions, including Rock of Cashel, the Cliffs of Moher and the Dingle Peninsula.

“Visiting Ireland has always been my top travel wish and I was thrilled to be able to see this beautiful country with the Salt Lake Chamber,” said Maria Nelson, Shared Services and Database Manager at the Chamber. “The Chamber International trip did not disappoint. I am excited for the next travel adventure with the Chamber.”

Travelers on this year’s trip kissed the Blarney Stone, enjoyed traditional Irish music in downtown Dublin, and explored historic castles and villages. The beauty of the country and the charm of the Irish people helped make this an unforgettable trip.

Julianne Grant, Communications and PR Director of L-3 Communications, felt this trip was a “dream come true”–very well planned and executed.

“It was great to meet so many new people and recommit to former travel buddies. I was with two of my best friends and made a whole bunch more on the trip. Everything we saw was beautiful and even breathtaking, like the Cliffs of Moher–I couldn’t believe how spectacular the cliffs, landscape and ocean were; not to mention everything was so green. When they say Ireland is the land of a thousand shades of green, they weren’t kidding. I think one of my funniest memories will always be kissing that silly Blarney Stone. We all cheered each other on and some of us caught cold kissing that silly thing… nothing like hanging upside down to become more “eloquent.” I can’t wait for the next trip with the wonderful Salt Lake Chamber!”

Check out some of these amazing photos taken during this trip. Doesn’t this just make you want to pack up and go Irish?

The Chamber is currently starting to plan the international trip for 2013. We will be announcing details in November so start saving to go now!
