Don H. Adams is the president and CEO of Bear River Mutual Insurance Company. Don began in the insurance business 36 years ago when he accepted a position with Safeco Insurance Company in the San Francisco Bay Area. During his career he worked for Safeco two different times: first as general operations manager of the Northern California Division and second as a marketing representative in Utah. In 1999, he joined Bear River Mutual Insurance Company as chief operating officer and became president of the company in 2001. Don received his Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University and has completed his CIC designation. He was a medical service corps officer in the United States Army where he obtained the rank of Captain. Don and his wife Dennae are the parents of six boys and one girl. They have sixteen grandchildren.

John Adams is the managing director of the law firm Ray Quinney & Nebeker, P.C. He began his law career with Ray Quinney almost 30 years ago. He serves as an arbitrator through the American Arbitration Association and also conducts mediations. Mr. Adams is a former president of both the Utah State Bar and the Salt Lake County Bar. Besides serving on the Salt Lake Chamber Board of Governors, Mr. Adams serves on the Executive Committee of Friends for Sight. He is also a member of Rotary Club 24. He and his wife, Lisa Ramsey Adams, reside in Salt Lake City and are the parents of four children.

In 1990, he was elected to the Utah Legislature in the House of Representatives and served for 16 years. He served two years as Majority Leader, two years as Majority Whip, and served four years as chair of Executive Appropriations. He currently serves as an advisor to the Director of the Governor’s Office of Econ. Dev. Jeff earned a degree from Brigham Young University and an honorary doctorate from Utah Valley University. He lives in Provo with his wife, Ann. They are the parents of five children and the grandparents of six grandchildren.

Eddie Bangerter began work with Rocky Mountain Care in 1990 on a part time basis, and full-time in 1993 as the Administrator of Rocky Mountain Care – Bountiful. From that position as home care operations were started, he moved positions to oversee the establishment of those services in the company.

Mr. Bangerter now serves as President of Rocky Mountain Care, LLC, the management company over all skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, private duty nursing and hospices. Prior to that, he was the Divisional President over Home Care and Hospice. He has also served as a Vice President over those operations. He is responsible for all home health care, private duty and hospice operations for Rocky Mountain Care and its affiliated companies in offices covering five western state. He provides overall management oversight and review of the operations, management and licensure of these offices, as well as maintaining primary fiscal control over the operations.

Scott Beck is a native of Provo, Utah, and has the tourism industry in his blood. The son of Brent Beck, former general manager of Sundance Resort and original member of the successful Sundance Catalog Company, Scott was born and raised with tourism as the driving force in his family. He is currently the president and CEO of Visit Salt Lake, a position he has held since September of 2005. Prior to joining the Bureau, Scott was the general manager of the Salt Lake City Marriott City Center hotel and worked with the Salt Lake Olympic Organizing Committee as a host hotel for AT&T and the European Broadcasting Company. True to his roots, he is still an active skier, mountain biker and Utah outdoor enthusiast. Scott is a father to four daughters: Hannah, Miranda, Sophie and Olivia. Scott resides in Salt Lake City.

Jerry Benson is Interim President/CEO for Utah Transit Authority (UTA), the public transit provider to 2.2 million residents of six counties covering nearly 1600 square miles. Jerry leads 2400 employees who provide commuter rail, light rail, fixed route bus, route deviation, paratransit, vanpool, rideshare and coordinated mobility management services to 46 million riders per year. UTA has been recognized as the Outstanding Public Transit Agency in North America four times, most recently in 2014. Jerry has worked in various positions at UTA for 31 years. Prior to being named Interim President/CEO, Jerry served as UTA’s Vice President of Operations. Under Jerry’s leadership, UTA became the first transit agency to achieve certification to both the ISO 9001 quality management standard and the ISO 14001 environmental management standard, and was recognized with the American Public Transportation Association Innovation Award for UTA’s unique approach to employee participation and collaborative labor relations.

Jerry Benson holds a Master of Human Resource Management and a Ph.D. in Organizational Communication. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Utah, teaching communication, management and public administration. He serves on several national industry and professional boards and locally serves on the boards of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce, the Ogden Weber Chamber of Commerce, Advantage Services, a non-profit organization providing employment for people recovering from mental illness, and the Jordan River Commission.

Brian Bethers is the president of 1-800 CONTACTS, the world’s leading retailer of contact lenses, headquartered in Draper, Utah. In early 2008, 1-800 CONTACTS signed a joint marketing agreement with Walmart, creating an alliance combining their respective contact lens businesses. Brian has directed the integration process, creating the largest multichannel contact lens business in the optical industry. Brian joined 1-800 CONTACTS in July 2003 from TAC Worldwide, a privately held technology staffing company in Dedham, Massachusetts where he served as chief financial officer. He received both a Bachelor of Arts and an MBA from Brigham Young University.

Jackie Biskupski took office as Salt Lake City mayor on January 4, 2016. Her political career also includes 13 years as a member of the Utah House of Representatives from 1998 to 2011, where she made history as the state’s first openly gay elected official.

The Mayor has made economic development, homelessness, air quality, education, and outreach to residents her top priorities. She is committed to creating access to city operations for all. Building a unified city, based on respect for diversity, inclusion, and opportunity are deeply important to her.

She has worked throughout her career to mentor others–particularly young women–in politics, public policy efforts, and leadership. She supports women from all political backgrounds in seeking elected office and positions on boards and commissions.

A Minnesota native, the Mayor earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Arizona State University. She came to Salt Lake City 25 years ago for a ski trip, fell in love with the outdoors and the people, and never left. She shares her life with her wife Betty Iverson and their two sons, Archie and Jack.

Mark Bouchard serves as co-head of the Southwest Market Area for CBRE which includes Arizona, Utah, Nevada and New Mexico. Terry H. Buckner is the president and CEO of The Buckner Company, and was born into the entrepreneurial family that carries the company’s name. Terry earned his MBA from Utah State in 1979, his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1983 and was named Young Agent of the Year in 1989, a year after taking over the position as president of The Buckner Company. After buying out his father and uncle and assuming full command of the company from his partner in 1992, Terry made several critical strategic moves that allowed the company to experience explosive growth between 2001 and 2011. Andrew Carroll is the Chief Business Officer for the RSL organization, overseeing all business operations at Real Salt Lake (MLS) and the Real Monarchs (USL), including corporate partnerships, tickets sales and operations, marketing, communications, public relations, media and game operations.

Andrew joined Real Salt Lake as Vice President of Corporate Partnerships in November, 2012, where he was responsible for all Corporate Partnerships sales and service, as well as all Game Operations. In 2013, his first season at RSL, the team was recognized as the Corporate Partnerships Team of the Year by Major League Soccer. Andrew was also instrumental in securing the long-term jersey front partnership with LifeVantage, the 2nd largest club partnership in Major League Soccer history at the time.

Previously, Andrew was the Chief Marketing Officer for Maverik Center & the Utah Grizzlies, where he was the driving force in securing the first-ever arena naming rights sponsorship for the then E Center of West Valley City. Prior to his success at Maverik Center, he was founder and CEO of Icon Sports Group, a sports marketing firm dedicated to athlete marketing, where he successfully developed and executed fully integrated marketing, public relations, media, merchandising and licensing solutions for professional athletes. In this role, Andrew was highly involved with Olympic and Action Sports athletes, and was also a certified agent with NFL Players Association. Prior to founding Icon Sports Group, in a period spanning fifteen years, Andrew held a variety of sales and marketing executive positions at Cadbury Schweppes and Pepsi.

Andrew is the former Board Chair and current board member of Wish of a Lifetime and also serves on the Board of Trustees of Salt Lake Regional Medical Center.

Vance is the senior executive for Dell EMC in Utah. Under his leadership local operations have exceeded expectations for growth and customer impact. There are approximately 1,300 employees in the state and construction was recently completed on a new building in Draper City’s transit-oriented Vista Station business park. All of this has been achieved with Vance’s direct oversight.

Vance’s responsibilities also include a 500,000 sqft data center and other operations in North Carolina, as well as close coordination with other “Centers of Excellence” around the globe.

Vance has been with Dell EMC since 2007, when EMC acquired Mozy. As the COO of Mozy, Vance helped drive triple-digit revenue growth and a significant transformation of their cloud operations, security and customer service functions.

Prior to Mozy Vance worked at several other high-tech firms, including 10 years at Oracle in Silicon Valley, WordPerfect, Novell and several start-ups. In addition to technology, Vance is passionate about his family, the outdoors and helping improve the world through healthcare and education. Vance currently serves on boards for several local organizations, including the Utah Technology Council, Women’s Tech Council, Intermountain Healthcare, Utah Valley University, and University of Utah. Vance was appointed by Governor Herbert to serve on his Economic Development Coordinating Council and the Technology Initiative Advisory Board. Vance has served on several other boards, including holding an elected position on the Provo School District Board of Education. Vance has an MBA from Brigham Young University.

Most recently, Amanda served as the Vice President, Corporate Communications for ATK, an aerospace, defense, and commercial products company, prior to its spin-off to Vista Outdoor.

Before joining ATK, Amanda worked as the Assistant Commissioner for Public Affairs at the Utah System of Higher Education from 2005 to 2008. She also served as the Deputy for Communications and spokesperson for Utah Governor Olene S. Walker from 2003 to 2004. Before joining the Governor’s Office, Amanda was the Director of Communications for the Utah Department of Transportation, leading communications campaigns for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, I-15 Reconstruction, and Legacy Parkway.

Amanda has a background in broadcast journalism, working for Utah’s NBC and ABC affiliates.

Lew Cramer became president of Coldwell Bank Commercial in 2013. directed the World Trade Center Utah in enhancing our state’s international expansion by assisting Utah firms in connecting with global business opportunities for nearly seven years. Cramer spent many years in Washington, D.C. working with US WEST International. In the Reagan administration, he served as a White House Fellow, as a Deputy Assistant Commerce Secretary, and as the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for International Trade. In the first Bush administration, Mr. Cramer was the Director General of the U.S. Commercial Service, directing the activities of 1400 commercial officers at over 150 embassies worldwide and in 65 offices throughout the United States. Cindy Crane is president and CEO of Rocky Mountain Power. She is responsible for the company’s transmission and distribution operations, customer service, regulatory and legislative affairs in Idaho, Utah and Wyoming. Crane is additionally responsible for PacifiCorp’s coal fueling and mining operations as well as thermal generation operations.

Prior to her current position, Crane served as vice president of Interwest Mining and Fuels for PacifiCorp Energy. She was responsible for the Energy West and Bridger Coal mine operations, as well as overall coal supply acquisition and management for PacifiCorp’s coal-fueled generation plants.

Crane joined PacifiCorp in 1990 and served in a variety of positions, including director of business systems integration, managing director of the company’s regional transmission project and managing director of the major issues program. She also managed the company’s integration following its acquisition by Berkshire Hathaway Energy. Crane then served as vice president of strategy and division services for PacifiCorp Energy, where she provided leadership in the development of the company’s coal supply and renewable energy strategies, including the completion of five Wyoming wind projects.

Prior to PacifiCorp, Crane worked at NERCO Inc., which was 82 percent owned by PacifiCorp. Crane joined NERCO while doing due diligence efforts for holdings of Union Texas Petroleum.

Crane currently serves on the Wyoming Energy Resources Council and several Boards of Directors to include, Envision Utah, the Utah Sports Commission, EDCUtah, the National and Utah Mining Associations and the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce. She dedicates her time to others within the company through both formal and informal mentoring.

Crane lives in North Salt Lake, Utah, with her husband Don and golden retriever Amber. She has a son, Jeremy, and two granddaughters, Brooklynn and Kally who live in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Dr. Milavetz is a licensed medical doctor and Internist with over 20 years of clinical experience.  She trained at one of Harvard’s teaching hospitals and also holds a Master’s Degree in public health from the University of Minnesota.  Dr. Milavetz was on faculty at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester prior to moving to Utah.  Dr. Milavetz is the former Medical Director of the McKay Dee Women’s Health Center in Ogden, Utah before starting OnSite Care in 2006.  Dr. Milavetz continues practicing part-time at an OnSite Care clinic.  Her particular area of expertise is developing and running on-site medical clinics and wellness programs.  She is passionate about advancing the quality of community healthcare, specifically, in improving healthcare outcomes while driving down wasteful medical spending.  Additionally, she is a highly sought after public speaker on a variety of medical topics, including preventive medicine focused-practice and on-site clinics.

With more than 20 years of experience managing and marketing shopping centers, Wardell oversees retail operations for the landmark shopping and dining destination in the heart of Salt Lake City.

A seasoned retail executive, Wardell received her first taste of shopping centers at an Atlanta-based boutique advertising agency. Her clients included Taubman, owner and operator of City Creek Center.

Wardell has played a pivotal role in the grand openings of several high-profile properties, including Polaris Fashion Place, a 1.5-million-square-foot shopping center in Columbus, Ohio. Linda spent nine years with Glimcher Realty Trust, owner of Polaris, and while there opened two shopping centers and earned frequent career promotions, eventually serving as vice president of marketing.

Wardell joined Taubman in January 2007. In Salt Lake City, Wardell is involved in the community including serving as the current Board Chair for the Downtown Alliance, Executive Board of the Salt Lake Chamber, Executive Committee of the Women’s Leadership Institute, Board of Downtown Rising, and Board of Directors for United Way of Salt Lake. Charles A. “Chuck” Wight is the 12th president of Weber State University. Prior to taking office on Jan. 1, 2013, Wight served three years as dean of the Graduate School at the University of Utah, where he was also the associate vice president for Academic Affairs and a full professor in the Department of Chemistry.
