Technology plays a central role in our households, businesses, and way of life. Security of that technology however, is often ignored. We enter passwords in what has become a habitual chore and we neglect that the storage units of our digital information are often very accessible. Technology has enhanced our accessibility and confidence, but paradoxically lead many of us to forget the risks that come with this digital era.

October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) and the Salt Lake Chamber is joining the Department of Homeland Security’s STOP. THINK. CONNECT.™  Campaign and its partners across the nation to highlight the importance of cybersecurity.

As part of recognizing Cybersecurity Awareness Month the Chamber will be hosting: Cybersecurity Solutions, a discussion on cybersecurity’s impact on business, on Thursday October 27th from 8:00-9:30AM.

A panel, which includes FBI Supervisory Special Agent James E. Lamadrid, Dental Select President & CEO Brent Williams, Secuvant Security Specialist Kevin Howard, and Utah’s Department of Technology Services  Chief Information Security Officer Phil Bates will address attendees at this forum.
