Women’s Business Center

The Salt Lake Chamber Women’s Business Center (WBC) is one of a national network of nearly 100 centers supported by the US Small Business Administration (SBA) and is “designed to assist women in starting and growing small businesses.” However, unlike many other centers, the WBC operates as a separate non-profit organization within the Salt Lake Chamber, allowing it access to a unique set of tools and resources to aid entrepreneurs.

The WBC provides a platform of business development and job creation in Utah by delivering quality and applicable entrepreneurial consulting, professional training and premier networking opportunities.

Business Women’s Forum:
A monthly forum that provides an environment for local women managers, executives and entrepreneurs to enhance their business career and personal development through monthly events that include networking and speakers. An annual registration fee is required.

Ann Marie oversees the operations of the Women’s Business Center. She ensures the Women’s Business Center provides valuable and accessible resources for women entrepreneurs, collaborates in the local business community and influences the center’s impact on new businesses started, jobs created and increase in revenue.

Deb Bilbao
Deb BilbaoConsultant
Deb Bilbao is the Business Consultant at the Salt Lake Chamber Women’s Business Center. She counsels start-ups, pre-startups and expanding businesses on critical areas including business planning, finance, marketing, sales, management, operations and government procurement.

Valkyrie Johnson
Valkyrie JohnsonProgram Coordinator
Valkyrie joined the Women’s Business Center in 2016 to launch their online training for women entrepreneurs in Utah. She previously worked for the Salt Lake Community College, where she coordinated marketing and online media for the Division of Continuing Education. She has a B.A. in Mass Communication from the University of Utah and a background in graphic design and website management.

Deborah Marzano
Deborah MarzanoProgram Coordinator
Deborah joined the Women’s Business Center in 2015. Before becoming the newest member of the WBC staff, she worked in Development for the Arthritis Foundation where she helped organizing and executing fundraising events. Deborah holds a B.A. from Brigham Young University is in Social Cultural Anthropology.
