Born in 1973 into a military family, Kristin Armstrong spent her early childhood in Tennessee, California and attended high school in Japan. By the time she was 17, she had become a Junior Olympian in swimming. She was diagnosed with osteoarthritis, an otherwise career-ending disease, but she considered cycling her best therapy. Kristin Armstrong has three Olympic Gold Medals in the Time Trial (2008, 2012, 2016), three World Titles, six National Championships and countless other victories in Cycling.

In this session, discuss Gifford Pinchot’s concept of thinking and acting like a business owner while working for someone else. Bryn Ramjoue’, the Communications Director at Red Butte Garden, is a marketing and advertising professional with corporate experience including 12 years at AT&T Wireless as a national advertising manager and regional marketing director. She also teaches for PROED at the University of Utah.

Pat Jones will facilitate a roundtable discussion hosted by the Women & Business Conference committee and invited VIP guests to explore the topics discussed throughout the day.  Pat Jones is the CEO of the Women’s Leadership Institute and was the ideal choice to fill this role because of her background and expertise in the business and political worlds. While serving as co-founder and former president of Dan Jones & Associates, Jones served in the Utah Legislature for 14 years and in leadership positions 12 of those years.  Jones was recently appointed by the Governor to the Utah State Board of Regents, is a member of the Zions Bank Board, Board of Governors of the Salt Lake Chamber, the Intermountain HealthCare Community Care Foundation, and the National Advisory Board of the University of Utah School of Dentistry.
