Vice President, Center for Community Development, American Express
Kathy Luke is the Vice President of the Center for Community Development with American Express, responsible for the execution of the Community Reinvestment Act program for American Express. In this role, Luke partners with government, community and non-profit organizations to learn and address the needs of the community.
Kathy has been with American Express for the past 22 years, serving in a variety of roles. She is passionate about mentoring and giving back to the community.

In her role at American Express she works directly with community organizations to invest corporate funds into programs that directly improve our community.
Kathy began working at American Express as a call center representative. Since then she has become a strong leader, as she has taken initiative to advance her career to the vice president role she has now.
She is a strong support to others in the company, serving as a mentor and also sharing her experiences on a larger scale.
She is very approachable and recognizes the value of relationships to accomplish good within the company and the community.
Within the constraints of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Kathy focuses on supporting organizations and initiatives that provide the greatest impact to those in need.
Kathy is an incredible advocate for a variety of causes, including support for small business, refugee resettlement services, and organizations that support women re-entering the work force.
She personally serves on a variety of boards including the Women’s Business Center, Utah Diversity Connections, U of U Collage of Social Work Community Advisory Board, Utah Housing Coalition, Artspace, Junior Achievement, Utah Bankers Association CRA Committee, Utah Association of Financial Services CRA Committee.
Her passion is seen in the impressive outcomes from her efforts with these organizations.
