The Eccles School is synonymous with ‘doing.’ The Eccles experience provides world-class business education with a unique, entrepreneurial focus on real-world scenarios where students put what they learn into practice long before graduation. Founded in 1917 and educating more than 6,000 students annually, the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business offers nine undergraduate majors, four MBAs, eight other graduate programs, a Ph.D. in seven areas, and executive education curricula. The School is also home to 12 institutes, centers, and initiatives, which deliver academic research and support an ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation.
In May 2020, the Salt Lake Chamber’s Utah Community Builders Foundation partnered with the David Eccles School of Business on the Leading with Hope Programs which included the Hope Corps Initiative. The Hope Corps is a statewide effort to assist small businesses, nonprofits, and people of Utah by connecting students with internship and project opportunities. The Hinckley Institute facilitates these connections to ensure the placements are a good fit. Once placed, students will work with an organization to provide innovative solutions to issues posed by the pandemic and to stimulate economic recovery.
