SALT LAKE CITY, UT— The Frederick Quinney Lawson Ballet West Academy, one of the most prestigious ballet schools in the United States, will relocate and expand the Peggy Bergmann Park City Campus in Summit County, Utah. The Academy operates three more campuses located at Thanksgiving Point, Trolley Corners, and the main campus in downtown Salt Lake City.
This new facility at 2700 Rasmussen Road will feature four studios: two dedicated to ballet and two designed for tap, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop dance styles. The Academy is also excited to introduce a new class, exclusive to the Peggy Bergmann Park City Campus – musical theater training. Located two miles north from the current facility, this new campus, in a serene mountain environment will provide comprehensive dance and theater training and the highest level of instruction by renowned professional faculty.
Artistic Director Adam Sklute said, “For nearly 60 years, Ballet West has had a deep commitment to ballet education, guided by the legacy of our founder, Mr. Willam Christensen. In 2016, the Company expanded into the Wasatch back, and today’s announcement further extends our commitment to world-class dance instruction in that community.”
