SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (October 18, 2019) — Today the Salt Lake Chamber issued the following statement in response to the Utah Legislature’s recently released tax reform proposal:
“We appreciate the effort the legislature has made to listen and work with Utahns in this process, just as the Chamber has done with our business community these past few months. It is important that any reform remains dedicated to the fundamentals that have given Utah one of the most dynamic state economies in America. Toward this end, we look forward to reviewing the details of the new proposal and working with the legislature in a deliberative and constructive way to ensure that we remain true to those fundamentals. As Utah’s voice of business we are going to ensure that the interests of our community are heard.”
