What Businesses Can Do
There are many things Utah’s businesses can do to stay open and stay safe during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Derek Miller, CEO of the Salt Lake Chamber, shares a few ideas in this video. The Chamber and other Utah business leaders worked with the Utah COVID-19 Community Task Force to compile resources such as best practices for prevention, guidelines for staying open, and assistance for employees and employers to deal with financial challenges.
Supporting Local Businesses
90% of Utah’s businesses are small businesses, many of which are significantly impacted by coronavirus (COVID-19). Utahns can support the economy, support local businesses, and help them stay open. Derek Miller, CEO of the Salt Lake Chamber, shares a few ideas for how to help your favorite businesses stay afloat.
Economic Response Task Force
Utahns rely on a healthy economy to support themselves and their families. Some of the brightest minds in Utah are part of the Economic Response Task Force (ERTF), which Governor Herbert created to combat the economic impacts of coronavirus (COVID-19). Derek Miller, CEO of the Salt Lake Chamber, explains that the ERTF is preparing responses to the economic impacts we are already feeling, impacts that may happen in the near future, and to make sure Utah’s economy comes back stronger than ever.
