Salt Lake Chamber Small Business Forum

The Salt Lake Chamber’s Small Business Forum (SBF) promotes and represents the interest of businesses with 100 or fewer employees. SBF members are given priority access to small business programs and initiatives of the Salt Lake Chamber. Specifically, the SBF focuses on the following:

  • Evaluate and develop the resources the Chamber provides its small business members and small businesses throughout Utah
    • Plan and host small business events
  • Amplify the voice of small business for the Chamber by:
    • Identifying issues facing small business
    • Developing small business focused public policy
    • Speaking on behalf of small business issues for the Chamber
    • Representing small business to our Board of Governors
  • Be an advocate for small business to Chamber members and the business community, and help grow membership in the Chamber

Other activities and priorities of the SBF include:

  • Monthly committee meetings
  • Nominating businesses for the Chamber’s Small Business of the Year Award
  • Supporting Chamber events specifically aimed at small business, including:
    • Small Business Golf Tournament
    • Salt Lake Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Business Awards

Become a Member of the Small Business Committee

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Salt Lake Chamber Small Business Committee and representing the voice of small businesses to the Chamber, please complete the form below.

Membership requires:

  • A passion for small business development
  • A two-year commitment
  • Attendance at 6 out of 9 meetings per year
  • Committee participation
  • Support of Chamber initiatives and events.

Committee members must:

  • Be a current dues paying member of the Salt Lake Chamber at our Executive Membership Level
  • Be the business owner, partner, chief executive or operating officer of a for-profit company
  • Represent a business, which in its combined operations in the region employs between 10 and 100 employees
