With the renovation dust settling in the beautiful and historic Hardware Building, Haskell is excited to hold its official office grand re-opening from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on October 6, Oktoberfest-style. Clients, local business leaders, and industry professionals are invited to munch and mingle or participate in the various activities and competitions offered, such as Hammerschlagen (nail driving), Masskrugstemmen (stein holding), Corn Hole, Shuffleboard, and Ping Pong. Generous prizes will be awarded to the victors.
“It’s a great way to celebrate our successes with our current partners while getting to know our Salt Lake City and surrounding area neighbors better,” said Travis Taylor, Western Region Director of Construction.
Utah’s rugged beauty and sturdy economic infrastructure and a population that prides itself on an innovative and hardworking honeybee mentality make Salt Lake City a prime location for Haskell’s western hub.
“The values here in Salt Lake and the surrounding region pair well with our own Haskell values of team, excellence, service, and trust,” Taylor said. “When you join these forces in a dynamic and collaborative partnership, the result is extraordinary.”
The Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) recently recognized a partnership between Haskell and longtime client The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Church), with a National Merit Award for the Quito Temple design-build project in Ecuador.
“Our criteria for these important structures can be stringent and challenging, with an emphasis on achieving the highest level of quality and craftsmanship possible in both the selection of materials and execution of the work,” Church Project Manager Duane Cheney said in a letter to DBIA.
“The Church decided that a design-build delivery method utilizing Haskell’s strong record of implementing very successful design-build projects on an international scale combined with Haskell’s growing temple experience would most effectively meet our schedule, scope, and budget criteria. Haskell proved to have all the proper resources to design, engineer, and deliver the specific processes that we required and expected for this project.”
