Husbands, Christopher Pehler and Brian Williams, decided to create and open Main Street Emporium in early 2019. Having both worked in the corporate world far too long, this was an opportunity to create a business that would also provide a service to the community. Main Street Emporium is a Consignment Retail store that has a direct impact on those who consign, by providing payout to the Consignor as well as the Store. Located on Bountiful Main Street, Main Street Emporium carries a wide variety of local artist creations, vintage to modern decor, costume to fine jewelry, and furniture to greeting cards. There is a family feel in the store, where customers have become friends.
Main Street Emporium is one of the many businesses that received a Mainstreet Preservation Grant. According to the owners, “By receiving this grant, we hope to survive after being closed for close to 6 weeks. By remaining open, it benefits our Consignors and ourselves as owners. Thank you!”

The Mainstreet Preservation Grant, provided by the Salt Lake Chamber’s Utah Job Opportunities Foundation, is made possible thanks to a $500,000 donation from WCF Insurance. The grant funds are used to support rural and/or minority small businesses in Utah that need immediate assistance due to the COVID-19 and before federal stimulus funding is accessed. These grant funds are intended to help businesses in the short-term. To donate or learn more about the Mainstreet Preservation Grant, visit slchamber.com/mainstreet-preservation-grant.
