Salt Lake City—August 27, 2018—Ronda Landa has been appointed to lead the Women’s Council at the Ivory Boyer Real Estate Center (IBREC) at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah, serving as the organization’s director. Dedicated to furthering the role of women as leaders and active participants in Utah’s real estate community, the Council seeks to help shape the IBREC’s future and to support its mission through the engagement of the women—both current students and alumni—of the David Eccles School of Business’ Master of Real Estate Development program. Landa will be supported by Advisory Board members Dana Baird, Marlise Fisher and Barb Johnson, executive members of the Council.
Ronda Landa is a sales director at First American Title Company, one of the largest title insurance companies in the nation. She works with real estate professionals to inform, educate and connect them to her in-house specialists. Ronda also directs business development efforts on behalf of the firm. She is a current board member of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and a founding member of the Utah-based CCIM Business Excellence Awards event. In 2017 she was on the national Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Member’s Education Committee, and in 2015 she was president of CREW Utah, an organization she has been a member of since January of 2009. Ronda also served on the CREW Events Committee and was the Winter Delegate Meeting and Events Co-Chair on the board in 2014. In addition, Ronda has authored white papers on behalf of the International Facility Managers Association (IFMA) and Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) and has been a guest speaker at national real estate events.
“Ronda is known for her ability to connect people and resources, and volunteers a great deal of time to serve on outside boards and committees that she feels will enhance the local business community. She has long been involved in the advancement of female professionals, as is evidenced by her committment to CREW. I expect that Ronda will hit the ground running and look forward to the value that her energy and professionalism will bring to the development of our new Women’s Council,” commented Flyn Dawson, director of the IBREC.
The Women’s Council is slated to host its kickoff event on August 29th where Natalie Gochnour, associate dean in the David Eccles School of Business and director of the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute at the University of Utah, will be speaking to the group.
