Salt Lake City, UT (July 29, 2020) – The Salt Lake Chamber named Craig Wagstaff, senior vice president and general manager–western distribution gas infrastructure group of Dominion Energy, as the new chair of its Board of Governors. Wagstaff most recently served as the Chamber’s vice chair with outgoing Board Chair Linda Wardell, General Manager of City Creek Center.

“We are honored to have Craig step into this role and continue his leadership with the Chamber representing business across the state,” said Derek Miller, president and CEO of the Salt Lake Chamber and Downtown Alliance. “His example of collaboration and desire to focus on diversity and inclusion across our business community resonates at this time. With his continued leadership, the Chamber will continue to advance the voice of business and champion community prosperity for everyone.”

Craig Wagstaff has a distinguished career in the gas industry and has touched strategic business areas such as operations, economic development, marketing, and the regulatory environment. He has been a longstanding leader in the Chamber’s community and his experience will advance and shape policies that affect Utah’s economic growth.

“It is an honor to serve the business community in this role with the Salt Lake Chamber,” said Wagstaff. “The organization’s history and leadership have few comparisons across the state and country, and I look forward to the coming year as we work to build our economy and community.”

Wagstaff took over as Board Chair in July 2020. The Chamber’s incoming Board Vice Chair is Gary Porter, senior vice president of Deseret Management Corporation.
