SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (July 25, 2018) – Derek Miller, president and CEO of the Salt Lake Chamber and Downtown Alliance, issued the following statement on the Trump Administration’s plan to offer $12 billion dollars in aid to farmers hurt by tariffs:
“The remedy to Trump’s trade war is less government intervention, not more. To best support American farmers, the Trump administration should make fair trade deals that set them up to win in a free market, not make payoffs for being set up to lose in the global marketplace.”
