To commemorate the twenty-first anniversary of September 11, 2001, Smith’s Food & Drug Stores associates will deliver “thank you” sandwich platters to local fire and police departments on Sunday September 11.
Each Smith’s location will send representatives to nearby police, firefighter, or military support stations to thank them for their dedication and service to the community. They will deliver a specially designed “Honoring Our Heroes” greeting card signed by store associates that will accompany a tasty sandwich platter.
“To commemorate this time of national remembrance, Smith’s stores will join every other Smith’s store across the country on September 11 to acknowledge heroes of yesterday and today,” said Aubriana Martindale, Smith’s Corporate Affairs Manager. “These meals are simply a token of our appreciation for the hard work and sacrifice these individuals put forth each and every day.
