Donating $1 Million Dollars Across the Intermountain West
Smith’s Food & Drug Stores has provided financial support to families facing a medical crises and gifts of admiration to first responders amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Smith’s has donated $1 million to children’s hospitals in the Intermountain West to support charity healthcare programs for injured and sick children who are less fortunate.
In addition, Smith’s associates will be delivering care packages to first responders, including health care workers, as a token of appreciation for their work on the front lines.
Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City received $530,000 of the donation. Other hospitals receiving donations in major Smith’s markets include: St. Rose Dominican Health Foundation in Las Vegas; University of New Mexico Children’s Hospital in Albuquerque; and Renown Children’s Hospital in Reno.
“With the help of our generous customers, associates and suppliers this donation is made possible,” said Aubriana Martindale, Smith’s Corporate Affairs Manager. “We are most thankful to the selfless hospital staff and administrators that are continuing their mission to care for critically ill and injured children, while facing the crises of COVID-19,” she added.
Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City is a full-service children’s hospital serving Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, Montana and Alaska.
