This is Derek Miller, Speaking on Business. Young Living Essential Oils has been a global leader in the essential oils industry for nearly three decades. President and COO, Joe Cannon, is here to tell us about Young Living’s focus on innovation and giving back to the community.
JOE CANNON
At Young Living, we enhance and empower lives around the world by sharing the unique benefits of nature’s living energy—essential oils.
Our unique Seed to Seal philosophy emphasizes the careful sourcing of our oils and the science behind the distillation process. Our proven testing standards assure that we have the purest possible oils for our brand partners and customers. At our renowned Mona facilities, we have developed innovative and sustainable practices that optimize water resources used in farming and processing lavender and other plants used in our essential oils.
An important part of Young Living’s philosophy includes giving back to the communities where we operate. In 2020, during the height of the pandemic, we donated hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and products to non-profits, essential workers, and schools throughout the state. This year, we announced a partnership with Utah Valley University. Young Living will invest $4.5 million towards the construction of the new UVU Young Living Alumni Center.
