This is Derek Miller Speaking on Business. Carrus delivers quality training programs to those hoping to improve their lives, professionals looking to re-up their certifications and confidence, and institutions seeking to improve the student and employee experience. Misty Frost, CEO of Carrus, is here to tell us more about what they are doing to ease the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on healthcare learners.

At Carrus, we help people improve their lives and advance their careers through exceptional healthcare learning. Our two training and continuing education solutions, CareerStep and CareerCert, are designed to meet the distinct needs of future and current healthcare workers.

Since 1992, Carrus has trained more than 140,000 healthcare professionals. We know a thing or two about what helps e-learning healthcare learners stay the course. Carrus examined trends in e-learning dropout rates, performed market research, and launched the AdvantEDGE coaching program in 2020 to help raise student program completion rates.

As COVID-19 ravaged the world, Carrus quickly responded. Our CareerStep division launched much needed courses for healthcare workers, like infection prevention. We also introduced several accelerated courses, like contact tracing, to help healthcare professionals meet urgent needs and help those out of work retrain and get back to work quickly.

This pandemic has certainly shined a light on the importance of our healthcare industry and the heroes who sustain it, and we are grateful for the training Carrus provides. I’m Derek Miller with the Salt Lake Chamber, and this is Speaking on Business.
