This is Derek Miller Speaking on Business. We will long honor the heroes who served through the coronavirus, including those responsible to keep our lights on, our homes warm, and our families protected. This is the call of Dominion Energy, and we have Senior Vice President and General Manager Craig Wagstaff here to tell us about it.

CRAIG WAGSTAFF

At Dominion Energy, our top priority is the health and safety of our employees and the more than 7 million customers we serve in 20 states including Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. Our employees provide an essential service: ensuring our customers have the energy they need for their homes and businesses, including critical facilities, and we deliver the source fuel for much of the electricity they use.

To provide these services, while doing our part to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, our office-based employees are teleworking from home, and we have temporarily discontinued service terminations for customers who have late or unpaid bills. Our service employees continue to respond to critical needs, but they are wearing safety glasses, gloves, disposable coveralls and masks. With these measures in place, Dominion is confident we will protect our customers and employees while continuing to provide our essential, reliable service.

DEREK MILLER

We will never forget the front-line heroes in health care, emergency services, grocery stories, and utility companies, and others who continued to serve through these challenging times. Dominion Energy is among them.

I’m Derek Miller, with the Salt Lake Chamber, and this is “Speaking on Business.”
