SALT LAKE CITY- (Feb. 24, 2015) – The Salt Lake Chamber believes the Legislature should hold to the compromise reached with the Count My Vote initiative as a matter of legislative integrity. The compromise reached last session adequately provides time for political parties to implement changes. The Legislature should grant no delays and let the due process of the legal system proceed unadulterated by the changes within First Substitute S.B. 43, Changes to Election Law and keep its commitment to modernizing Utah’s election process.
