Recently, Governor Herbert and the Governor’s Office of Economic Development unveiled a new $4.6 million advertising campaign to promote Utah tourism called “The Road to Mighty.”
The campaign depicts Utah as the destination for an iconic American road trip focused on the state’s five national parks.
The campaign will air in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Denver in late March and early April, and will be accompanied by a national digital ad campaign.
“The Road to Mighty” ads include footage from our state’s national parks and also features some of Utah’s most scenic byways, telling travelers that the great American road trip they’ve dreamed about is in Utah.
There is also an interactive component to this campaign that allow users to find a list of 20 travel itineraries that can be selected based on vacation length, desired location, and interests such as eating, adventure or sightseeing.
As we promote our great state it is not shocking to see others develop love for Utah. We have so many opportunities here for people to experience and we are excited to share them with the rest of the world.

The capital city’s newest technology hub will be located in one of its landmark shopping and entertainment locales.
Salt Lake City Mayor Jackie Biskupski recently announced plans for a Google Fiber store to be located at Trolley Square.
Biskupski said she “commended Google for reaching out directly to community members, nonprofit leaders, the school district, local leaders and others to find ways to bridge the digital divide that exists in our city.”
There will be a retail space in which customers can experience Google Fiber firsthand and learn more about other retail services Google provides. There will also be a space for educational purposes.
Devin Baer, the associate city manager for Google Fiber in Utah, said they would like the space to be thought of as “the community’s living room.”
Salt lake City is one of seven cities nationwide in the process of installing Google Fiber.
We cannot wait to see how this will further develop our local community.
