Did you know that the Salt Lake Chamber was established on April 23, 1887? We’re older than the state of Utah!

Every year our members gather at our Annual Meeting to come together and celebrate the Chamber’s rich history, discuss goals for the coming year and to recognize individuals and companies who have significantly influenced the Chamber and Utah business community over the past year.

This year the Salt Lake Chamber’s 129th Annual Meeting will be held on September 27th at the Salt Lake Marriott at City Creek.

At this year’s meeting we will honor the 2015-2016 Board Chair, Lori Chillingworth, as well as recognize the 2016 Chamber Champions and our outstanding corporate partners.

There are still sponsorship opportunities available, and we would love the involvement of the Salt Lake Community.

Come help the Salt Lake Chamber celebrate Utah’s business community at the 129th Annual Meeting, September 27th at the Salt Lake Marriott at City Creek.

Across America, the most vibrant economies put education first. Utah is no exception. Utah recognizes that there is a huge economic benefit of a well-educated workforce.

That is why the Salt Lake Chamber manages Prosperity 2020, a five-year statewide plan for major gains in education.

Research shows that a person’s earning power and society’s wealth are tied to educational achievement.

Prosperity 2020 calls for Utah to be in the top ten states in the nation for percentage of adults with a postsecondary certificate or degree.

It is critical that Utah has a well-educated workforce to enable the state to compete in attracting and filling the technology jobs of the future.

To succeed, we need all levels of state leadership to move ahead on this plan, as well as public support.

Too few students are prepared for higher education and not enough earn degrees. Prosperity 2020 will change that.
