This time of year many businesses evaluate operations, create plans and set new goals.

Often those goals focus on savings and profitability.

Rocky Mountain Power’s wattsmart® Business energy efficiency program can help your business start meeting your objectives in 2018.

The energy-saving program offers cash incentives for LED lighting upgrades, heating and cooling improvements, food service equipment and more.

Being more energy efficient can reduce operating expenses which is good for your bottom line.

It can help to free up money to reinvest in your business. That’s good for Utah’s economy.

When our winter air quality is at its worst, do something about it and take the Clear the Air Challenge.

This year the Challenge will be held in February – the first year it’s ever taken place during the winter months.

The goal of the challenge is to reduce the emissions that create our air pollution by driving less and driving smarter.

That means carpooling, using transit, teleworking, trip chaining, walking or biking – and new this year – using electric vehicles.

Transportation emissions are responsible for nearly 50% of the pollutants that make up our poor air quality.

By simply reducing vehicle trips, we can protect our health, our environment, our economy and the overall quality of life in Utah.

Register as an individual or team at ClearTheAirChallenge.org by Feb 1st to help eliminate 300,000 trips for better air.

For more information, or to sign up for the Challenge visit, CleartheAirChallenge.org

It’s time to leave 2017 behind and set your sights to new heights for 2018.

When you think of New Year’s resolutions, it’s easy to think about goals like losing weight, getting outdoors, and spending more time with family. But resolutions should not be confined to just our personal lives. The new year is the perfect time to reevaluate your business or organization and make sure your business is set up for success.

Let 2018 be the year to focus on creating a great company culture. Happy employees are engaged and committed to the success of the company they work for, plus it helps employers continue to attract top talent and motivated A+ team players.

Having the very best people on your team should give you the piece of mind to let go a little bit in 2018. Set a resolution to delegate more.

The new year is also a great time to implement cybersecurity resolutions that keep your data safe and business operations moving smoothly

Taking stock of existing efforts, investing in employee satisfaction, evaluating cybersecurity protocols, and making plans for strategic growth are great ways to ensure success in 2018.
