It’s Infrastructure Week. A national week elevating infrastructure investment as a critical issue that impacts all Americans.

Infrastructure Matters – In big ways and in small, to our country, our economy, our quality of life, our safety and our communities.

It matters to the goods we ship and the companies that make and sell them; it matters to our daily commutes and our summer vacations, it determines if we have drinking water from our faucets, light in our homes, and ultimately plays a role in almost every aspect of our daily lives.

In honor of Infrastructure Week, the Utah Transportation Coalition and the Salt Lake Chamber are hosting ‘Time to Build Utah’ tomorrow May 16.

Hear from infrastructure experts on the overall importance of infrastructure to the economy.

Americans are born with an entrepreneurial streak. It’s in our DNA.

Today, more than 15 million people in the U.S. work for themselves. And there’s always room for new ideas, products, services, and success stories – if one knows where to look.

Recently, WalletHub ranked the ‘Best Cities to Start a Business in 2017’ and good news Salt Lake City was #2!

We are not too surprised as Utah is also consistently receives similar accolades like ‘Best State for Business,’ ‘Job Growth Leader,’ and ‘Best State for Business and Careers.’

For WalletHub to determine the best cities to launch a business they looked at three key dimensions: Business Environment; Access to Resources; and Business Costs.

While Utah did well in all three categories, they were number one for ‘Access to Resources’.

This is just a reflection of our entrepreneurial spirit, one of the many things that makes our city and state so great.
