Salt Lake Chamber believes that a public market in the capital city is an amenity that will provide many benefits for residents, visitors and the Utah farmers who grow and market produce. Our team members with Urban Food Connections of Utah (UFCU) operate the successful Downtown Farmers Market at Pioneer Park and Winter Market at the Historic Rio Grande Station. UFCU and the Downtown Alliance have studied the viability of a public market and UFCU is developing a plan for a market between the Rio Grand Station and the Intermodal Transportation Hub in Downtown SLC.

We encourage you to participate in the RDA’s public market study survey and share your opinions. Responses will be taken until May 3, 2019.
