Diverse-Owned Business Accelerator Celebrates 18 New Graduates from Spring 2024 Cohort

On March 28, 2024, the Salt Lake Chamber and the Women’s Business Center of Utah celebrated the graduation of the latest Diverse-Owned Business Accelerator cohort. Eighteen business owners, the highest number of graduates in a cohort yet, completed the program to enhance their entrepreneurship skills and receive one-on-one business coaching.

The Diverse-Owned Business Accelerator is a 4-week program that provides a peer-to-peer environment for entrepreneurs and small business owners to learn business practices such as effective marketing, process automation and exit strategy. The cohort met each week with a team of instructors who taught methods for operating more efficient, effective and profitable businesses. 

The 2024 Spring Cohort graduates included:

Carissa Devenport also received the Diverse-Owned Business Accelerator grant, which awarded her $600 to be used towards further improving their business, Este Pizzeria Park City. The grant was awarded based on the entrepreneurs’ participation and 90-day action plans, which outlined their businesses’ respective courses of action in implementing strategies they learned during the accelerator.
