Common Ground, 100 Years of the Salt Lake Chamber

President & CEO

“The Salt Lake Chamber, along with its members, has worked hard to advance statewide programs like Hope Corps, Utah Community Builders, Women’s Business Center of Utah, and others to develop tools that improve mental fitness in the workplace, create opportunity in our communities, and advocate policies to preserve our long-term prosperity.”

Derek Miller, Salt Lake Chamber

Chair of the Board

“I think the role of a chamber is vital to business in the State of Utah. It serves so many purposes. Number one, it serves as a networking platform for small businesses, such as myself, to get in front of a larger audience. I think it’s a great way for businesses to do business through relationship building. It helps us come together on big issues, like health care, education, employment. No matter if you are a small business or large employer, it creates that synergy of how businesses can really help other businesses to create this amazing state we live in.”

Dr. Donna L. Milavetz, Executive Medical Director, Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah

Vice Chair of the Board

“It is an honor to serve the business community in this role with the Salt Lake Chamber. The organization’s history and leadership have few comparisons across the state and country, and I look forward to the coming year as we work to continue building our economy and community.”

Gary Hoogeveen, Sr. VP & Chief Commercial Officer, Rocky Mountain Power

Past Chair of the Board

The chamber's initiatives, programs and events have had a positive, long-lasting impact on our community. I hope to continue this tradition, and look forward to working with Chamber members, staff and partners to further its mission within our state.
