Summer Markets and Sunset Yoga Spring into Action

The Gateway is springing into May with an array of outdoor markets and a new, outdoor Sunset Yoga series that takes place on Mondays for a more centered start to the week. There is also an event to cater to the community’s furry friends with the third annual Bark on the Moon on Saturday, May 3. Please see event details below.

Bark at the Moon
Sat., May 3, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.

The Humane Society of Utah hosts Bark at the Moon, featuring delicious bites from local food vendors, craft beer, and live music. Stroll through a vibrant vendor alley, let your pups cool off in the splash pad, and soak up the lively atmosphere. The night concludes with a glow-in-the-dark, dog-friendly walk at 9:00 p.m.

Bohemian Bums Farmer’s Market 
Sun., May 4 (first Sunday of every month), 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Bohemian Bum Farmer’s Market captures the essence of a sustainable living, fun-filled community spirit, and the charming allure of a small town. Nestled within the heart of The Gateway, this vibrant market brings together local organic produce, artisans, and eco-conscious vendors. Discover a treasure trove of unique, handcrafted goods, delectable treats in a welcoming atmosphere. With every visit, the Bohemian Bum Farmer’s Market takes you on a journey through a world of sustainable fun and a genuine sense of community that’s simply irresistible.

Market & Craft Fair 
Fri. May 16, 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. (third Friday of every month)
Coinciding with The Gateway’s Art Stroll, the Market & Craft Fair is an opportunity to explore and support more than 60 local businesses offering unique products and services. Enjoy hourly drawings with exciting prizes, capture memories at fun photo ops, and discover even more surprises throughout the day!

The Gateway’s Art Stroll is a showcase of installations created by local artists throughout Rio Grande Street. Explore the art displays, meet the artists, and maybe even find a new piece to take home.

Outdoor Urban Flea Market 
Sun., May 18, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (monthly, May to October)

The seasonal Outdoor Urban Flea Market is Salt Lake City’s biggest monthly Flea Market. Held at Olympic Plaza and along Rio Grande, the market features 80-plus vendors offering eclectic and unique vintage and antique finds. Local crafters offer cool handcrafted and upcycled vintage items.

The Maker’s Hive Market
Sun. May 25, Noon to 4:00 p.m.

The Makers Hive Market features a variety of Salt Lake City-based small business owners of all backgrounds with a shared passion for creating. The market also features live music, local eateries, and more. Dogs are welcome.

Sunset Yoga
Mon. May 19, 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. (every Monday)

Monday nights end right at The Gateway. Olympic Plaza is the setting for a free, Sunset Yoga class led by a talented yoga instructor from Salt Power Yoga and live music from @djdrewmusic. Yogis of any level can loosen up and strike a pose with a selection of beer available from Squatters and Wasatch Beers for purchase during class.
