Red Iguana Launches New Website

The new website features Red Iguana classic dishes, the history of the restaurant and the Cardenas family, and mobile-responsive online-menus.

Red Iguana, Utah’s “most awarded Mexican restaurant”,  has launched a new website at www.rediguana.com. The site includes photos and videos of Red Iguana classic dishes, such as their signature moles, as well as images of the famed establishment going back to when it was started by the Cardenas family in 1985.

“Our new website makes it easier to explore our menu, make reservations or place to-go orders, or just keep up with what’s happening at Red Iguana,” says Lucy Cardenas (who owns and operates Red Iguana with her husband Bill Coker). Coker added, “Next year marks the 40th anniversary of the opening of the original Red Iguana and the new website is the perfect way to celebrate with our customers and fans worldwide!”

The website incorporates images from Red Iguana’s Wall of Fame – autographed photos of celebrities that have visited the restaurant over the years including Carlos Santana, Louis Perez (Los Lobos), ZZ Top, Elvira,  Lewis Black (Political Satirist), and Guy Fieri of The Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Red Iguana has been featured on the TV series twice since 2008.

The website also includes special “Easter Eggs” (hidden messages, photos, and videos) with interesting tidbits such as the history of mole, the inside scoop on Table 45, and other little-known facts about Red Iguana.

The new website was developed by Saltworks Digital (saltworksdigital.com), a Salt Lake City-based digital marketing agency, and features food photography by Mike Kemp, videography by Trevor Haugen, and styling by Suzy Eaton.
