SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (September 15, 2021) –  The Salt Lake Chamber will lead a business delegation of executives and community leaders to our nation’s Capitol this week. The Chamber will meet with members of Utah’s federal delegation to discuss the business community’s federal priorities for 2021. Due to the pandemic, the annual trip was held virtually last year, but executives are excited to once again attend events and meetings in person and network with each other.

“The partnership between the Salt Lake Chamber and our federal delegation continues to promote Utah values and strength,” said Derek Miller, president and CEO of the Salt Lake Chamber and Downtown Alliance. “Each year the Chamber goes through a thorough process to distill those policy priorities that will best serve to keep Utah as a shining place on the hill. Our federal priorities tackle everything from social capital to business climate to energy and infrastructure importance. We know that Utah businesses support families, work together on tough problems, and do their best to make our communities more resilient and sustainable. We look forward to sharing these priorities with our Federal partners.”

The Chamber’s Annual Washington, D.C. Trip will provide a range of activities to benefit executives through high-level networking, educational events and policy discussions. Those attending will get to know each other and prominent national leaders. The 2021 Annual Trip is made possible through generous sponsors including WCF Insurance, Clyde Companies, Layton Construction, Washington Federal Bank, AT&T, The Boeing Company and Larry H. Miller Group of Companies.

The Chamber recognizes many of its accomplishments are a direct result of the innovative business leaders of Utah, who think of the community as a whole. Their support and expertise help guide the Chamber and state leaders to more inclusive outcomes.
