This is Derek Miller Speaking on Business. Utah’s cancer rate is the lowest in the nation and the American Cancer Society is improving the odds. Today there are nearly 17 million cancer survivors nationwide, with over 80,000 cancer survivors in Utah. Cidne Christensen with American Cancer Society has more.

The American Cancer Society is on a mission to free the world from cancer. For more than 100 years, we have helped lead the way the world prevents, detects, treats, and thinks about cancer. As the nation’s predominant cancer-fighting organization, we fund and conduct research, share expert information, support people with cancer, and spread the word about prevention. We also advocate for public policy changes through our advocacy affiliate, the ACSCAN.
