Speaking on Business: Junior Achievement of Utah & Idaho

This is Derek Miller, Speaking on Business. Junior Achievement of Utah and Idaho’s mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy through a variety of programs. Joining us to discuss a new initiative aimed at reimagining high school education nationwide is President and CEO, Christy Tribe.

Christy Tribe:

When business leaders, educators and Junior Achievement areas unite, high school students gain the tools, confidence and applied insight they need to effectively shape their future.

That’s the vision behind 3DE, a new program offered by Junior Achievement. 3DE is an innovative education model redefining how students learn. Through real business challenges, students work in teams to solve authentic problems from actual companies.

Along the way, they build durable skills like critical thinking, collaboration, communication and adaptability. We may not know exactly what tomorrow’s jobs will look like, but we do know this: durable skills transfer across roles, industries and careers.

3DE helps students see the relevance of what they’re learning today and how it prepares them for what comes next. We’re excited to bring 3DE to high school students in Utah, connecting education to the real world in meaningful ways.
