This is Derek Miller Speaking on Business. Shriners Children’s Salt Lake City, provides orthopedic care to children, regardless of ability to pay. Here’s Dawn Wright, the marketing and communications director of the Shriners Children’s location here in Salt Lake with more.

DAWN WRIGHT:

At Shriners Children’s Salt Lake City, we serve children with orthopedic conditions – from the simple to the complex. Patients receive services in a family-centered environment, regardless of ability to pay.

Patients at Shriners Children’s hospital have many resources under one roof – from meeting with their doctor in clinic, and advanced diagnostics in our motion analysis center, to custom prosthetics and orthotics, wheelchairs and therapy.

Our expertise was recently acknowledged by U.S. News and World Report, which ranked us, alongside Primary Children’s Hospital, among the best in the country for orthopedic care.

We also help our patients’ social and emotional development, such as when our staff makes Halloween costumes for children in wheelchairs, or when we offer river rafting and ski camps for teens with limb differences.

Of course, we are deeply grateful to our donors who help make this care happen.

DEREK MILLER:
