As Utah’s largest organization representing public educators, the Utah Education Association works to strengthen public schools, support educators and advocate for students. Serving her second term as president of the Utah Education Association, Renée Pinkney joins us with more.

UEA represents nearly 18,000 public educators who choose to belong to our union because we believe every Utah student deserves a strong public school and a real chance to succeed. Educators know what that takes. Students need manageable class sizes, enough support and experienced educators who can afford to stay in the profession.
Our members bring that commitment into schools every day. The UEA backs them up by fighting for the funding, voice and classroom conditions that make student success possible. That means advocating for policies and resources that strengthen Utah’s public schools, support educators and help students succeed in every community across the state.
It also means ensuring educators have a voice in the decisions that shape their profession, their classrooms and the success of the students they serve. At UEA, we believe every student deserves a strong public school and every educator deserves the respect and support to make that happen.
