State of Good: evolvedMD is Revolutionizing Behavioral Health Care for the Community

Utah Community Builders, a nonprofit and program of the Salt Lake Chamber Foundation, recognizes a business each month that is making a meaningful impact in its community. This initiative aligns with their mission to activate the Utah business community to address pressing community issues that strengthen Utah’s workforce.

evolvedMD is revolutionizing the way behavioral health is treated by offering a more comprehensive, collaborative, outcomes-based approach. With 41% of U.S. adults experiencing at least one adverse mental or behavioral health symptom during the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for change in mental health care is undeniable. evolvedMD’s solution is to integrate behavioral health into primary care, making it easier for individuals to get the support they need all in one place.

Founded in 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona, and expanding to Utah around 2020, evolvedMD now provides care in five states across over 200 locations. In Utah, they’ve partnered with Granger Medical Clinic to provide patients with access to mental health care during their primary care visits. By eliminating the traditional barriers to care, evolvedMD ensures therapy is more accessible and convenient.

But their commitment goes beyond just providing care. evolvedMD is dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the communities they serve. They actively participate in local partnerships, including with the Salt Lake Chamber and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, working to promote mental health awareness and support prevention efforts.

As Sentari Minor, Chief of Staff and VP of Investor Relations, said, “We are always looking for more local things to be involved in.” By fostering these connections, evolvedMD helps break the stigma around mental health and creates a supportive environment for those in need.

In an era where mental health is more important than ever, evolvedMD is leading the way to ensure people have the tools, resources and support to thrive.
