FREE OUTDOOR POP-UP WITH LIVE MUSIC, ART EXHIBITS, AND A BEER GARDEN ENLIVENS DOWNTOWN SLC THIS SUMMER
Salt Lake City — Live music, visual art exhibits, a beer garden, lawn games, and other free family-friendly entertainment will animate The Art Garten on Main Street every Thursday and Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. through September.
The temporary park and programming is a partnership between The Blocks and Hines, the property owner. While long-term plans for the site continue to develop, The Art Garten is open to the public for programming this summer.“
“The Art Garten is a unique gathering spot for Downtown residents and visitors to engage with local arts,” said Lucas Horns, Director of The Blocks. “That’s what downtown is for, and we’re grateful to Hines for opening the door to make it happen this summer.”
Weekly programming features local musicians, DJs, and performers, with rotating food and beverage vendors and lawn games for all ages. The Utah Museum of Contemporary Art will bring two exhibits to the Art Garten that showcase works by local artists.
