Salt Lake business community’s highest honor recognizes leader’s contributions and positive impact throughout Utah

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (December 12, 2022) – The Salt Lake Chamber today announced that Wilford Clyde, Chair of Clyde Companies, Inc., will be honored as the 44th Giant in our City. The award recognizes those with exceptional and distinguished service, as well as extraordinary professional achievement, and is widely known as the most prestigious business award given in Utah.

“We could not be more excited for Wilford to be honored as the next ‘Giant in our City,’” said Derek Miller, president and CEO of the Salt Lake Chamber and Downtown Alliance. “His leadership, business acumen and stewardship are exceptional. At his core, Wilford is a builder, not only of highways, bridges and dams, but of communities. He serves on numerous boards and donates his time and resources to help secure our future. Wilford is a true leader and an example anyone can aspire to.”

“In my career and in my civic service, I’m grateful for all the good people who come together to make things better,” said Clyde. “With so many individuals who deserve this honor, I am truly humbled. It really does take all of us, working together, through ups and downs, to build community.”

Clyde is currently chair of Clyde Companies, Inc., the premier critical infrastructure and construction materials and services provider in the Intermountain West, headquartered in Orem, Utah.
