3 Questions with Chamber Champion Troy Keller

At the 2025 Annual Meeting, the Salt Lake Chamber will honor individuals and organizations whose dedication has strengthened both the Chamber’s mission and the community. This year, we’re proud to recognize Troy Keller, Partner of Dorsey & Whitney, as a Chamber Champion – an award reserved for exceptional Chamber volunteers who go above and beyond in service.

Troy Keller is a partner in the Salt Lake City Office of the national law firm, Dorsey & Whitney LLP, where he represents clients on strategic corporate transactions and law and policy matters. Before joining Dorsey, Keller was vice president of corporate law and government relations at Huntsman Corporation. Prior to Huntsman, he was Securities and M&A counsel at Qwest Communications and he began his career as an attorney at the New York office of Sidley Austin.

Keller currently serves as co-chair of the Salt Lake Chamber’s Public Policy Committee. He also serves as World Trade Center Utah’s international trade and commercial policy advisor and is a member of the Board of Directors of 47G-Utah Aerospace and Defense. Keller is admitted to practice law in New York, Colorado and Utah.

Here’s what Keller had to say when we asked about his involvement with the Chamber.

What inspires you to dedicate your time and energy to volunteering and supporting the Chamber’s mission?

There’s nothing that lifts an individual or a family like opportunity, and to provide an abundance of opportunities, a community must have a strong and diverse business climate. The Salt Lake Chamber has always been clear that its priority goal is to support Utah’s broader economic climate so that businesses of all shapes and sizes can have a fair shot. In a way, everything starts there, and it’s an easy goal to get behind.

Is there a particular Chamber project, event or initiative that you are especially proud of having worked on?

Serving on the Utah Rising technical committee has been a fascinating experience. It has provided a unique opportunity to contribute as business and policy leaders thoughtfully to shape plans for Utah’s future. The Chamber’s ability to convene these generational discussions — and its initiative in leading them — is both impactful and inspiring.

What does receiving this award mean to you?

It is an incredible honor to be recognized by individuals I respect so much. In truth, the recognition belongs to the Chamber staff, whose dedication and hard work make all of this possible. Nevertheless, this is an experience I will always value and remember.
