A Modern Social Club in the Heart of Salt Lake City

According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, small businesses make up 99.9% of all U.S. businesses. What’s more, Utah has been credited as the most pro-small business state in America, thanks to our state’s pro-business initiatives and support systems. Each month, the Salt Lake Chamber will highlight a small business in Utah to emphasize its importance in our economy and encourage local support.

If you’re looking to connect with others and help build Salt Lake’s growing, diverse community, check out Edison House. Born from a desire to create meaningful connections, Edison House is a modern social club that opened in Salt Lake City two and a half years ago. Designed from scratch to be a 24/7 amenity, it’s a members-only space that brings something new to the city — focusing on uniting interesting, dynamic people in an intentional way.

As CEO and co-founder George Cardon-Bystry explains, “The number of times I’ve heard people say, ‘I’m so glad you did this — I was just looking for my place,’ really stuck with me. It became less about building a club and more about organizing a space that could be a kind of moth to a flame — a place where we could find those really interesting people and bring them together.”

That spirit of connection lives on in the vibrant programming that fills the space each week. The clubhouse regularly hosts unique, thoughtfully curated events that spark conversation and build community — helping members form meaningful relationships while experiencing something new.

With about 1,300 members, Edison House maintains strong gender parity and limits each industry to no more than 15% of its membership to ensure diversity of thought and experience.

Members enjoy a full suite of thoughtfully curated amenities including a rooftop terrace and pool, speakeasy venue, fitness center, private breakout rooms, two restaurants, sports bar, morning cafe and dedicated spaces for live music, film screenings and corporate or private events. The goal is to create an inspiring environment that blends creativity, culture and community — whether you’re there to network, relax or attend one of the many member-driven events.

When asked why Edison House joined the Salt Lake Chamber, he added, “We want to be strongly connected to the broader community. We’re not here to be self-contained — we’re here to connect. The Chamber helps us do that in a bigger way.”
