Bring Holiday Magic to Families with Neighborhood House’s “Give a Gift” Program

Salt Lake City, Utah (November 2025) – This winter, Neighborhood House invites the Salt Lake City community to help spread joy and connection through its annual Give a Gift program. This holiday tradition ensures every child, adult, and caregiver in Neighborhood House’s care experiences the joy of receiving a gift chosen especially for them.

Each year, Give a Gift provides holiday support for families who rely on Neighborhood House’s early education, adult day services, and family support programs. Children from 15 months to 12 years old, and adult clients, many of whom are experiencing a disability or are diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer’s, receive three gifts of their choice valued at approximately $100 per person. Caregivers receive a curated basket or wrapped item, and families are provided with food baskets filled with essential nonperishable items.

With 92% of Neighborhood House families meeting the federal criteria for low income, Give a Gift represents much more than seasonal giving. It provides hope, belonging, and the joy of knowing they are supported by their community during the holidays.

“Give a Gift reminds our clients and families they are not alone,” says Jennifer Nuttall, Neighborhood House Executive Director. “It’s also the Salt Lake community showing up to say, ‘You matter to us.’ That is what makes Neighborhood House such a special place.”

Individuals, companies, families, churches and service groups are all invited to participate by sponsoring a gift recipient, volunteering, or helping spread the word. Gift givers can sign up online to sponsor a child, adult, caregiver or food basket, and will receive a personalized gift list by email. Gifts should be delivered labeled and unwrapped to Neighborhood House between December 10th beginning at 1pm until December 12th at 6pm.
