Kane Counseling Services Expands Access to Family-Centered Mental Health Care in Utah County Through Partnership with RMU Health Clinics

Provo, Utah, Monday, March 16 — Kane Counseling Services has partnered with Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMU) Health Clinics to offer mental health services in Provo. This new location allows Kane to expand appointment availability for individuals, couples, families, children, and adolescents seeking counseling services.

Designed to support the entire family in one setting, the clinic provides coordinated mental healthcare through a diverse team of providers, allowing parents, children, and partners to receive specialized services without needing to seek care from multiple practices.

Services offered include evidence-based treatment for common and complex concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, life transitions, and high-conflict divorce, as well as play therapy and adolescent counseling.

The clinic accepts most major insurance plans, helping make mental health services more accessible to Utah County residents and reducing barriers to care for families seeking support.

Kane Counseling Services is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of licensed clinicians and supervised providers, each offering specialized expertise while maintaining consistent standards of ethical, client-centered care. Rooted in Utah County, the practice emphasizes community access and continuity of care, aiming to meet the growing demand for mental health services while keeping treatment local, coordinated, and sustainable.

“Our goal has always been to provide comprehensive, family-centered mental healthcare that is accessible and coordinated,” said Dr. Christy Kane, Executive Director of Kane Counseling Services. “Partnering with RMU Health Clinics allows us to expand access while maintaining the quality, continuity, and ethical standards our clients expect. We are proud to serve Utah County families with care that meets them where they are.”

Located within the main RMU Health Clinics Building on the Timpanogos Tech Campus in South Provo, Kane Counseling Services joins other community healthcare clinics, including the RMU Eye Institute, Physical Therapy/ Occupational Therapy Clinic, Center for Communication Disorders, and the Electrophysiology Clinic. In addition to providing high-quality healthcare to the community, the RMU Health Clinics also serve as student learning environments, giving RMU students hands-on clinical experience under the supervision of licensed providers.

“By supporting partnerships like this one with Kane Counseling Services, we help ensure families in our community can access the mental health services they need,” said Jeffrey Fisher, Senior Executive Director of the RMU Foundation. “Through the continued generosity from our community, we can expand access at all the RMU Health Clinics and ensure even more individuals receive the care they need.”
