Utah is a place that feels familiar the moment you arrive. Our landscape gets a lot of attention, but it’s the people who give this state its character. For the last three years, U.S. News & World Report has named Utah the top state in the country, and that makes sense to anyone who has spent time here.
Our economy stays steady because our workforce shows up and leans in. Utah regularly posts one of the highest workforce participation rates in the nation and keeps unemployment low. Those numbers matter, but they matter most because they reflect people who believe in their work and in the future they’re helping build.
What really stands out, though, is how often Utahns look for ways to help someone else. It might be a neighbor shoveling a sidewalk, a volunteer stepping in where there’s a need or a business pitching in during a community project. Those small actions add up, and they’re a big part of why Utah feels like home for so many.
As you read this edition of Life in Utah, I hope you get a sense of the place we’re proud to share. Whether you’re visiting, exploring new opportunities or settling into a new community, we’re glad you’re here.
Welcome to Utah.
