President’s Message: Unifying Our Business Voice with The Utah Chamber

At the 2025 Annual Meeting, the Salt Lake Chamber announced the creation of the Utah Chamber. This statewide organization will unite the voice of Utah businesses, local chambers and industry associations to build a stronger business environment, increase healthy job creation and support prosperous communities across the state.

The goal of the Utah Chamber is threefold:

  1. To have a unified voice: The Utah Chamber reflects the progress and evolution of Utah’s economy and the state. The complexity of Utah’s business community requires a collaborative organization and a unified voice that focuses on statewide issues and opportunities to strengthen the economy and improve the quality of life for all Utahns.
  2. Broader Representation: Utah’s diverse communities and geographies present a broad range of needs. The Utah Chamber will allow for better understanding and perspectives of all businesses, regardless of size, location or industry.
  3. To elevate and collaborate: The Utah Chamber will not replace local chambers or industry associations, but will work collaboratively to elevate them, increasing access to resources, expertise and providing a stronger voice, particularly in legislative efforts.

Through the Utah Chamber’s Chamber Coalition and Industry Council, chambers of commerce and industry associations from across the state will have a role in guiding and informing the work of the Utah Chamber, as the voices of all will be magnified, with their needs and concerns being more thoroughly understood and addressed.

As the business community continues to champion statewide initiatives like Utah Rising and preparing for the Olympics, our ability to join forces and unify our diverse voices to address potential obstacles and identify opportunities for growth will directly lead to the prosperity of not only our business community, but also enhance the quality of life for all Utahns. I invite you all to get involved. To share your voice, experience and expertise.
