Seasoned fundraiser to boost support for student training and vital community care
Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Lynn Fisher as its new Senior Executive Director of the RMU Foundation, a role essential to advancing it’s mission to improve the human condition through education, research, and providing healthcare to underserved populations in our communities.
Fisher brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in development, philanthropy, and nonprofit management to the RMU Foundation. Over his career, he has helped raise more than $150 million for universities and nonprofit organizations. Most recently, he served as Director of Development and External Affairs for the Hale Center Foundation for the Arts & Education, where he helped the theater founders raise $60 million for the performing arts center.
With deep expertise in both public and private fundraising—including working with federal agencies, healthcare systems, and higher education institutions—Fisher is uniquely positioned to grow the Foundation’s strategic partnerships and philanthropic reach.
“I’m honored to join this mission-driven institution and look forward to building partnerships and support that will help the RMU Foundation serve patients, communities, and students,” said Fisher.
In his new role, Fisher will lead the RMU Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the academic and clinical initiatives of Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMU)—including the RMU Health Clinics. These community-focused clinics provide essential healthcare services across Utah County, with a commitment to ensuring no patient is turned away due to inability to pay. Services are available via insurance, sliding-scale fees, or pro bono care.
Clinics include the Eye Institute, the Physical Therapy Clinic, the Counseling Clinic, the Center for Communications Disorders, the Occupational & Physical Therapy Clinic, and the Electrophysiology Clinic.
In addition to providing high-quality care to the community, these clinics serve as student learning environments, giving RMU students hands-on clinical experience under the supervision of licensed providers.
“The RMU Health Clinics serve a dual purpose,” said RMU President Cameron K. Martin. “They deliver compassionate care to our community while also providing our students with invaluable real-world learning experiences. Our students leave RMU with a desire to love and lift those they serve. We’re excited to have Jeff lead the efforts to support the healthcare needs the Clinics fill and all the important initiatives offered by the RMU Foundation.”
