Business Community honors Ally Isom with 2025 ATHENA Leadership Award
SALT LAKE CITY (Nov. 10, 2025) – Today, the Salt Lake Chamber hosted its 49th Annual Women & Business Conference and ATHENA Awards Luncheon, a signature event celebrating the accomplishments of women who strengthen Utah’s business community and inspire others to reach new heights. The gathering brought together professionals from across the state for a day of learning, connection and recognition. “The annual Women & Business Conference and ATHENA Awards Luncheon is an opportunity to recognize the strength of women leading in Utah’s business community,” said Derek Miller, president and CEO of the Salt Lake Chamber. “They are creating pathways of success for countless others to follow in the future, and it’s because of business and community leaders like those we’ve recognized this year that we continue to see Utah grow and prosper. We extend our gratitude to these individuals for their commitment, hard work and innovative solutions.”
During the luncheon, the Salt Lake Chamber presented the ATHENA Leadership Award, a prestigious recognition awarded to an active member who demonstrates creativity and initiative in business, provides valuable service by devoting time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community and assists women in reaching their full leadership potential. This year’s recipient was Ally Isom, Chief Marketing and External Affairs Officer at Clyde Companies, Inc.
Isom brings a distinguished career in public service and corporate leadership. Known for her ability to unite groups to address complex issues, she has championed initiatives that advance women in business throughout Utah.
In addition to the ATHENA Leadership Award, five women received the Pathfinder Award for their work to create new paths and promote the development and recognition of women in business. This year’s recipients included:
- Melanie Bowen, Community Relations Director, Orrin G. Hatch Foundation
- Jenny Groberg, CEO and Founder, BookSmarts Accounting and Bookkeeping
- Lauren Gustus, CEO and Executive Editor, The Salt Lake Tribune
- Sara Jones, CEO, InclusionPro
- Monnica Manuel, President and Co-Founder, RSG Performance
Clyde Companies, Inc., Enbridge and WCF Insurance sponsored this year’s conference. Wells Fargo sponsored the ATHENA Awards Luncheon with BW Productions serving as the event sponsor. The morning keynote sponsor was The University of Utah, and the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation was the gift sponsor. CHG Healthcare, Mountain America Credit Union and Select Health were breakout sponsors.
