Business leaders honor local organizations with Utah’s Business Diversity Summit Awards
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (September 14, 2022) – Utah’s business and community leaders will honor local organizations that lead in equality, diversity and fairness during Utah’s Business Diversity Summit, part of the One Utah Summit Series. These organizations were nominated by community members and are leading actions to remove barriers, improve the working experience and engagement level of employees, and foster a sense of belonging where individuals can be their authentic selves and have a voice in the organization.
“We are excited to celebrate organizations leading the charge toward a more diverse and inclusive landscape in Utah,” said Derek Miller, president and CEO of the Salt Lake Chamber. “By showcasing how others are succeeding in creating a welcoming community, we can learn best practices and promote the benefits of having a diverse workforce and greater representation of voices. We honor their efforts and express gratitude for their accomplishments.”
Honorees of Utah’s Business Diversity Summit Awards include the following organizations:
- Large Business (250+ employees): Northrop Grumman
- Medium Business (51-249 employees): GSBS Architects
- Small Business (Less than 50 employees): Target River
- Non-profit organization: Tech Moms
- Government organization: Salt Lake County
- Award in Excellence: Utah Muslim Civic League
Utah’s Business Diversity Summit will take place on October 28, 2022, at the Salt Lake City Marriott Downtown at City Creek. This year’s presenting sponsor is The Larry H. Miller Company. Deseret Management Corporation, Mountain America Credit Union, SelectHealth, Target River, and Zions Bank are breakout session sponsors.
