This is Derek Miller, Speaking on Business. EyeCare4Kids makes sure children in underserved communities get the vision care they need. Through screenings, mobile clinics, and outreach programs, they help kids see clearly, learn confidently, and enjoy every day to the fullest. CEO, Maggie Cline, joins us with more.
Maggie Cline:
At EyeCare4Kids, our mission is simple: to make sure every child has access to professional eye care and the glasses they need to clearly see their world every day. Since 2001, we’ve provided more than 500,000 vision care services including vision screenings, eye exams, and corrective eyewear, to underserved children and adults in the Southwest United States and Africa.
In Utah, we work with fourteen school districts, maintain two permanent clinics, and send our mobile vision clinic to homeless shelters, refugee centers, Native American reservations, schools, and rural areas, reaching children where they are and removing barriers to care. Because vision doesn’t wait, neither do we.
Every pair of glasses we provide opens a door to new opportunities — helping children read, learn, and grow with confidence. This Giving Tuesday approaches, please consider supporting EyeCare4Kids by visiting EyeCare4kids.org.
Derek Miller:
Across Utah, children are gaining clearer vision and brighter futures thanks to accessible eye care and glasses. EyeCare4Kids helps children learn better, grow more confident, and thrive both in school and in their everyday lives. I’m Derek Miller, with the Salt Lake Chamber, Speaking on Business.
